About us :
Tsugaru Akatsuki no kai is a non-profit group that offers traditional Tsugaru regional home cooking by reservation only. Everything is made by hand using time honored methods. Preserved and fermented food make up the base of our meals. We cook with Kombu,(dried kelp )and Niboshi (dried fish) broth, and rarely use cooking oil or sugar. Along with seasonal ingredients our meals represent what life was like in the Tsugaru region years ago. We appreciate the good aspects of the traditional local life and try to pass them on to our future generations
For customers who make reservations from overseas
Thank you for your visiting our website / Facebook.
Reservations are required for meals at our place. This is because we prepare traditional meal using preserved foodstuff according to the number of people for that day.
Our dishes are prepared using Kombu and Niboshi (dried kelp and dried fish) broth as a base. Sake, soy sauce and miso (soybean paste )are also used as seasonings. Therefore ,it is very difficult to remove those ingredients, such as fish, beans and flour. We are afraid that we cannot cater to those who are allergic to these foods or have food taboos. Please kindly understand our situation.
Important notice: Food allergies and food taboos cannot be addressed
